According to legend、Laozi is said to have been senior of Confucius.However、unlike Confucius、his background is not at all clear.

His name is "the Yellow Emperor (黄帝・kou-tei・kō-tei)".Kings and nobles of ancient China、the Yellow Emperor is said to be the ancestor of all of them.

Various folk beliefs of ancient China.The archetype of Taoism is a collection of them、so it is also said.
