endorsement

When Sakamoto was attacked by Tokugawa shogunate officials at Teradaya in Fushimi、Sakamoto's lover lived here.

She was the first to notice the siege to arrest Sakamoto and informed Sakamoto、who was on the floor above her、of his crisis (at the time、she was taking a bath on the first floor、so she was naked).

Sakamoto then succeeded in escaping and was eventually taken to the Kyoto Satsuma clan residence for protection、but he was seriously injured in his hands.

I think this was unusual in Japan at the time、but this lover came to the Satsuma clan residence to care for Sakamoto、and they got married.

And I think this was also unusual at the time、the two accompanied Saigo back to Satsuma、and after arriving in Satsuma、they stayed at Saigo's house for a while.

This trip is also said to be the first honeymoon in Japan.
